Simple Quest: Multiple annual abbreviations for different ages/epoches

I'd love to depict multiple ages (like in Middle Earth) in a timeline and being able to sort them. For Example I got the First Age (f.A.), followed by a second and third. But I only can use one global timeline abbreviation and cant change it in the epoche date either.
